The German Society for Computational Linguistics and Language Technology (GSCL) has accepted our proposal for a workshop and shared task at GSCL 2017 in Berlin. The workshop is organized jointly between the Language Technology Lab and the Language Technology group at the University of Hamburg.
We are looking forward for many participations on the task of Shared Task on Aspect-based Sentiment in Social Media Customer Feedback for German. More information, including data, timeline and background is available on the workshop homepage.
Reem Kabbani joins our laboratory as a Ph.D. candidate from October 2016.
Her research will focus on educational NLP.
Andrea Horbach joined our laboratory as researcher in October 2016. Her work will focus on educational NLP within the project “Bildungsgerechtigkeit im Fokus”.
The second project phase of the UDE-wide project “Educational Equity in the Spotlight” (“Bildungegerechtigkeit im Fokus”) started in October. LTL is a member of subproject 2, targeted at blended learning, and will focus on integrating free-text answers into the learning platform JACK.
